My fiance and I were planning a holiday to Sicily and decided to do some research on getting married there.
After searching online and reading many testimonials we decided to email Wedding in Sicily.
I am so happy that we did as fom the very first contact we made with Isabella we knew that we were in safe hands.
We wanted something simple with only a few family members attending and Isabella was so helpful and understood exactly what we were looking for.
In the lead up to our trip to Sicily we were guided by Isabella with regards to the legal elements required, which can be quite daunting when organising a wedding in a different country.
Especially as we had never been to Sicily before. She helped us with accomodation options and gave advice on flights- as guests would be travelling from both Ireland and Slovakia.
The photographer, florist, hair & makeup artist and harpist recommended to us were all excellent and very understanding.
Isabella met with us a few times in the week before the wedding to show us the ceremony location and we had a run through of what would happen on the day.
She accompanied us to the restaurant to book our meal and also when we chose our wedding cake which she arranged to have delivered to the restaurant for us.
This attention to detail meant that we could relax and enjoy our holiday knowing that everything was being taken care of behind the scenes.
What can i say about our meal at Ristorante Granduca? Everything was exceptional.
The service was second to none, the food was delicious and the beautiful setting on their terrace meant we could enjoy the view as the sun was setting.
The evening was perfect and exactly what we had wanted.
We cannot thank Isabella and Tony enough for all their hard work and kindness that they showed to us and to our family.
Everything exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend anyone considering Sicily as a destination for their wedding not to hesitate in contacting them.
Their knowldege and creativity as well as their genuine interest in creating an expereience you will never forget, make Wedding in Sicily Taormina the perfect choice for couples considering a wedding abroad.

"Kevin and myself wish to take the opportunity to thank Isabella and WeddingInSicily Taormina, for helping to organize an unforgettable and stunning wedding for us in Taormina, Sicily. We were both a little daunted and out of our depth at the unknown of marrying abroad, but were certain we didn’t wish to marry in Ireland. In July 2016, while holidaying in Taormina, we had pre-arranged to meet with Isabella to discuss potentially using their wedding services, more out of curiosity at that point than in earnest. However, as soon as we met Isabella, we were charmed by her warm nature and felt very comfortable with her company as she guided us around Taormina. She had arranged for us to visit a number of locations in the centre of the town as potential venues, plus a visit to the Palazo Duchi Di Santo Stefano, the location for Civil Ceremonies, then gave us a guide of the beautiful park where the wedding photographer would take our album photos. Isabella was extremely informative about all locations and clearly has an excellent relationship with her local contacts. What also was immediately clear to us was Isabella’s genuine passion and care for making our future special day the best it possibly could be. Curiosity had changed to this was where we were going to get married and Isabella is definitely who we wish to co-ordinate it.
On return to Ireland, we kept in regular contact with Isabella via email. She proved to be a mindful of information on the legalities and paperwork that we needed to complete. This was made all the more complicated as Kevin had yet to receive his completed divorce before we could marry. Once this was finalized Isabella had her timings perfect and prompted us when appropriate to get the paperwork in motion for the Nulla Osta. Nothing was too much trouble and Isabella responded to all requests really quickly in the pre-planning stages. Isabella provided us with the various options and wonderful recommendations for decisions we had to make for the on Venue, Florist, Musicians, Photographer, Hairdresser and many more, all of which were absolutely 100% fantastic on the day. All recommendations proved a lasting testament to Isabella’s experience and professional approach to her role as a wedding coordinator. She clearly has a really wonderful relationship with her contacts and everyone of them could not have been more professional in their own capacity on the day. What was really most helpful to our guests was the list of accommodation options in Taormina that Isabella put together and guests were extremely grateful, as it made it so much easier when booking remotely.
When the big day arrived, not once did we feel any stress and Isabella had the co-ordination down to a fine art before, during and after the ceremony and back to the hotel venue for the reception. Our guests gushed about Isabella’s efficiency and how smooth, relaxing, happy and fun our wedding was. Isabella truly made it a seamless and magical experience for ourselves and our guests who had travelled over from Ireland.
Our decision to use WeddingInSicily Taormina was absolutely the best decision we made in the whole process of marrying abroad. We really did have the best day of our lives and will treasure it forever. Isabella’s calm and re-assuring presence on the day and in the days leading up to the wedding meant we could really relax and enjoy our pre- wedding holiday together in Taormina leading up to the big day in a stress-free manner.
We couldn’t recommend Isabella highly enough as a wedding coordinator and a wonderfully warm person. She goes the extra mile to make your day so very special and provides a truly professional wedding planning service to remove all the stresses associated with a wedding event. We really couldn’t have imagined a more perfect day, beautiful in every aspect and it we thank Isabella whole heartedly for ensuring this was possible."

"Having a destination wedding is not an easy decision to make, especially when you have to plan all those weddingy things from the other side of the world.
Luckily for us we found Isabella, the best wedding planner we could've possibly hoped for.
She was extremely attentive from our first correspondence, right up until the day of our wedding.
What an exquisite day with the most beautiful backdrop – it was exactly as dreamy as we envisioned it to be, and it's all thanks to Isabella.
The day before the big one, we had a quick meet up and we just happened to mention our love for The Godfather trilogy, the entire reason for our first trip to Taormina four years before, and that we were planning to visit Savoca (where some big scenes were shot).
When we arrived at the gardens where our ceremony was held, Isabella's husband, Tony, had found and setup the soundtrack to all three films!
That personal touch was a great reflection of the kind of experience you can expect.
Isabella was attentive, accommodating and experienced in carrying out exactly what we planned.

"My now amazing husband proposed to me on NYE a year & half ago on London's embankment and we knew straight away that we wanted to be married abroad. Like many reviews we have read on Isabella’s & Tony’s website, we had never been to Sicily. My parents and a few friends had been & said nothing but brilliant things about the place and especially Taormina. Rob has always wanted to go to Sicily and so what better reason than to get married there!
I instantly knew from emailing Isabella that she was the woman for us :) and also from all the photos of Taormina and other peoples wedding pictures that we had made the right choice. At no point were we worried about the place and how things would run. I was instantly put at ease with how professional she was and all the information given. We invited a small number of family & friends and all accepted our invitation.
As soon as we arrived we fell in love with the town, the old buildings and tiny streets were just what we adore! I can become quite anxious when i am not in control of something however Isabella didn’t leave any detail out and i even surprised myself by staying calm on the morning of the big day.
We stayed in the Ariston Hotel which we highly recommend if you want to be close to the town but also have a pool and be close to the bus terminal.
The beautiful VW Beetle picked me up and the drive was wonderful with everyone congratulating me on the way. We got married in the Palazzo as we are not Catholic, the building itself is surrounded by lovely gardens and is stunning, almost castle like.
After the ceremony we walked the streets to Mocambo Cafe and the guests spoke highly of the band and the time they had to relax in the square. The next wow factor was the restaurant La Giara! Rob & I went to visit the place before hand to run through the fine details but once the table was set and the music playing it was far better than we could have imagined. The view made it, as this was straight across the coast line. Taormina restaurant food is fabulous however La Giara’s food was better! We loved everything so much and we are foodies so this was a big thing but it exceed our expectations. We received our photo album whilst we were still on holiday and they are gorgeous.
The venue, sun & scenery just gives them that extra special touch. We can’t stop looking at them.
Basically, we are truly overwhelmed with how seamlessly the wedding flowed which is largely down to the work behind the scenes leading up to and including our big day by Isabella and Tony.
After over a week of reflection, myself and now husband can not find any negatives whats so ever and although obviously bias we would consider our wedding to have been perfect.
A huge thank you to both Isabella & Tony for everything.
You have given us a lasting memory we couldn’t dream of. You are amazing."

"Two years ago we visited Italy with the intention of finding our perfect wedding destination.
We arranged via email to meet with Tony and Isabella and instantly connected and trusted them and chatted informally about the options they could provide for our wedding.
We left our meeting convinced that Taormina was the place for us and we moved on and visited Sorrento and Rome to continue our search for the perfect wedding destination.
However, nowhere felt as perfect or as beautiful as Taormina. We returned from our holiday and booked our wedding!
Over the next 2 years we communicated with Isabella via email and she was so kind, professional and helpful that planning our wedding was stress free.
We held our wedding ceremony at the Palazzo which was beautifully decorated with flowers from the florist Isabella recommended.
We had never seen flowers as beautiful as what the florist created.
We held our reception at La Giara for 42 guests and we were blown away by the standard of decoration, incredible food and their desire for perfection.
We were thrilled with the positive comments from our guests who said it was the best wedding they had been to.
Our wedding to us was intimate yet relaxed with every part of the day and the services we received being outstanding.
Our family and friends are already planning their return to Taormina!

"On 20th July 2017, my dreams came true! Travelling all the way from Australia I walked up the most beautiful staircase to Piazza Varò to marry the love of my life. My husband Benedetto and I met in Australia, but he originates from Catania, Sicily. We visited family in Sicily in 2014 which is when I was introduced to the beautiful town of Taormina. I knew that one day when we marry this would be the place to do it.
The beautiful streets and magical views were everything I could imagine for our special day and I couldn't have done it without the help of Isabella and Tony from Weddings in Sicily.
After getting engaged in 2015, I googled wedding planners in Sicily. Isabella’s website was the first one I came across, and after reading her testimonials I contacted her immediately.
I loved that Isabella was from Australia and could speak English as it made my planning so much easier.
I am so grateful for Isabella and Tony's help leading up to our special day. Isabella made planning a wedding from miles away so easy. She assisted me with ideas especially with the choice of church.
Originally I had my heart set on San Giuseppe in Piazza Aprile IX but due to unfortunate events San Giuseppe closed so she suggested Chiesa del Varò. I wasn't able to get to Taormina before our wedding so I only had seen photos but the day before my wedding I walked in the church and literally cried. It was breathtaking and I was just so happy with the choice. It was everything I imagined.
Isabella and Tony assisted me with all the documentation in preparation for our catholic ceremony.
I couldn't have done this without them. Thank you so much for all the additional help and guidance with the church readings. A very big thank you for organising my priest the morning of my wedding when the original priest was sick. When I found this out, the issue had already been resolved and there was no worry at all.
Everything recommended to me was just perfect. As it was summer Isabella recommended me to have some hand fans and bottles of water for my guests, which was a simple gesture for my guests as they await my arrival.
I know everyone appreciated that on the day. The florist Isabella recommended was fantastic – everything I wanted he did and he was so lovely to liaise with. Our church music was stunning with the sounds of violin and piano and the beat of the bongo's at our reception set the scene for a night in Cuba where we danced the night away.
My entire experience with Isabella and Tony was flawless. Any question I had was answered and any request was met – from what DJ to have to buying me a garter the morning of my wedding because it was forgotten in Australia... hahaha! I was so fortunate to meet such beautiful people who were just amazing to work with.
Benedetto and I are so grateful and everyone that attended the wedding absolutely loved the day.
Taormina is such a magical place and you honestly don't need much to make it special, however once you start your planning and have your ideas, Isabella and Tony are the ones to make it happen."

"I knew when we decided to get married in Italy we would need help with the paperwork side of things.
I contacted Isabella and she immediately put me at ease and I knew that she would answer any query I had and make everything run smoothly.
We were only having a very small wedding, just the two of us and our two mums and from chatting to Isabella online I knew she would make it a special day.
We got married in Castelmola and Isabella took us up there the day before to sort out the paperwork and show us where the ceremony would take place.
The hotel gave us a minor problem which Isabella immediately sorted out for us without any fuss.
Tony was also brilliant on the day helping with the music and the photos.
It was the most beautiful setting with the most wonderful people.
I think without Isabella and Tony we wouldn’t of had the magical ceremony that we enjoyed and I would recommend their services to anyone thinking of using them.

"When I proposed to my wife on Mount Etna in August 2015 we travelled to Taormina afterwards and celebrated our engagement in one of the lovely restaurants there. It was during this visit to Taormina, walking the pretty streets, that we both agreed that we had to get married there. A quick search on Google later, when back in the UK, we knew that we had found the right wedding planners in Isabella and Tony from the professional look and feel of their website and the great testimonials of all their married couples; the service they provide is second to none.
They were with us every step of the way, right through from our initial enquiries about how to even go about getting married abroad and the paperwork required, to the little details like dietary requirements of guests, transport arrangements, and layout of the venue, and everything in between.
We met with them on our next visit to Sicily and they showed us around the churches, civic hall and venues available in Taormina. We loved the very beautiful Chiesa di San Pancrazio but chose the pretty Palazzo Duchi di Santo Stefano for a civil ceremony as I am not a Catholic, and the wonderful La Giara for our reception.
Isabella also recommended hotels in the area for ourselves and for our guests and we visited a few of these, settling on the wonderful Hotel Villa Carlotta for ourselves. The venue and civic hall were quickly secured for our wedding date by Isabella and we were kept in touch by email every step of the way.
Back in the UK and several emails later and everything else was falling into place; photographer and videographer booked, flowers chosen, wedding car chosen and booked, pre-dinner reception at the Mocambo café in the Piazza IX Aprile accompanied by a traditional Sicilian folk band (we both highly recommend this and it was loved by all our guests), everything was so easy and effortless thanks to Isabella. We often had comments from friends and family about how calm and unstressed we were during the whole process and this is all thanks to Isabella. All our guests had booked flights and accommodation; it was starting to feel real now.
Then a few months later disaster struck, or so we thought. It was announced that the 2017 G7 summit would be held in Taormina on the weekend before our wedding. This meant that the Palazzo Duca di Santo Stefano would no longer be available on the following Tuesday when we were meant to be married. We needn’t have worried however, as Isabella quickly turned the situation around for us. She made enquiries and found out that the Chiesa di San Pancrazio that we had been looking at before settling on the civic hall was available on the same date and quickly secured it for us. She took us through the additional process and paperwork required for us to have a catholic ceremony and in a few short days everything was back on track. In the end it worked out perfectly as we both agreed that we preferred the church ceremony… well they do say everything happens for a reason. My wife and I both said if we did it all again we wouldn’t change a single thing, the whole day was perfect from start to finish. Isabella and Tony have the unique ability to be able to run the day with military precision and yet make it feel so relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable, and they are the nicest couple you could ever wish to meet.
Everything went exactly to plan, we couldn’t have wished for a more perfect day. My wife has Italian heritage and we had many guests from Sicily attending our wedding. Some of these only speak Italian and a nice last minute touch by Tony was asking the priest to perform the mass part in English and part in Italian which was really appreciated, so thanks Tony and thank you Padre Carmelo Lupo for accommodating this request. Isabella even helped to arrange a couple of surprises during the reception, a short video that I had wanted to play during my speech (unbeknown even to my wife) and the equipment setup for one of our guests who is a professional singer and sang a few songs for us.
All of our guests have since contacted us to tell us how much they enjoyed our wedding and have all commented on how well everything was run by Isabella and Tony.
Comments like “it was the wedding of the year” and “it was a fairy tale wedding” came along with heaps of praise for how well organised the day was. Isabella and Tony really go the extra mile to ensure everything goes well and take time to ensure your needs and the needs of all your guests are taken care of. They are on hand all day, keeping a discreet but reassuring presence. Isabella was even on hand at the end of the night arranging taxis for our guests and helping the staff at La Giara pack the items that we were taking with us.
We highly recommend using their services if you are thinking of getting married in Taormina. I could go on all day about how wonderful they are but I’ll end with saying thank you Isabella and Tony from the bottom of our hearts.
You gave us a day that we will never forget; our dream wedding. It wouldn’t have been possible without you."

"I had always dreamed of a wedding with pretty streets, getting married in a town hall which piled into a plaza followed by a beautiful reception with my favourite music played to the early hours and this is what I got and more!!
Planning a wedding abroad and choosing someone to help you make your dream come true was a daunting idea however I'm so glad that I did and used Isabella and Tony.
They were fantastic from the moment I contacted them through to the wedding day.
I had done a bit of research and found them having seen reviews much similar to mine on the internet so I thought I would drop them an email along with a few others I had seen.
They responded promptly and with lots of ideas and helpful information to start the process.
Isabella and Tony live in Taormina and speak fluent Italian therefore made the process of organising and preparing the wedding effortless and would have been impossible without them. We had a visit a year prior to our wedding to go and see some of the venues and in this time Isabella met with us and helped with our stay.
We picked our venue, photographer, car and may other things. What I haven't touched on is how beautiful Taormina is and the most idilic place for a wedding.
The guests were blown away and everyone had such an amazing time that a first anniversary trip is in the cards!!
