I am writing this in October 2024 and can honestly say my 70 guests still talk about my wedding day as if it was yesterday as they cant get over how truly amazing it was!
As soon as me and my husband decided to marry abroad in Sicily, I was straight online researching everything I needed to know and had no idea where to begin! I then came across Isabella and instantly felt the urge to email her and request some information about a wedding in Taormina.
Well from that day in February 2022 to now, I count my lucky stars for finding this lady.
After liaising via email for several months we flew out to meet Isabella and visit venues.
From our first viewings and arancini together, I new that was it.
My mind was made up. I wanted my wedding in this stunning location and I wanted her to be the biggest part of it and organise our day for us.
Once we secured the date and told our guests, you get the usual 'oh this planning will take over your life', 'wedding planning makes you stressed and ill'.
I can honestly say I did not feel one ounce stressed throughout the whole process!
From start to finish, the planning, the budgeting, the suppliers, the travel arrangements for guests and bookings, Isabella done it all!
We visited Taormina several times before our wedding and from talking to shop owners, suppliers and locals, It was clear how well respected and thought of this lady was in the local area and I could see why!
My wedding day was without a shadow of a doubt, the best day of my life and 95% of that was because of Isabella and what she made happen for us.
Nothing was ever too much trouble and she is beyond genuine. There are no hidden costs and I fully respected and trusted her opinion on everything.
The wedding blues are still yet to go! But the relationship I have built with Isabella over the last 2 years is a special one and I know she will forever be apart of our lives now.

"Dear Isabella,
On behalf of Sam and myself I just wanted to thank you for everything that you did to help us to have the wedding of our dreams in Taormina.
Our final choice of a ceremony at Hotel Villa Schuler and a reception at Atlantis Bay were just perfect for us.
I still can’t believe that we were able to have that exquisite table down under the palm trees... it was so much better than either of us could have hoped for!
Your assistance with choosing vendors for the day was spot on, and especially important given that we were organising our wedding from Western Australia without the opportunity to fly over and see things firsthand for ourselves.
Firstly Mary Fiori... the flowers were stunning, exactly what I hoped for, in fact better I think! I loved our bouquets and the fact that we had peonies, so hard to get in Australia, made me so happy! The little girls’ flower crowns were also gorgeous. And the table setting, including candles etc, was just magnificent. A true Style Me Pretty tablescape.
Our fabulous musicians I Suonatori and Gino e Vivi... just perfect! Despite the heat our folk musicians brought just the right fun energy to our passegiata and we all loved the tunes down at Atlantis Bay.
My makeup artist Dalila and hairdresser Greta were both amazing. Without a trial for either they made me look and feel fabulous which is no mean feat when your bride is 47 not 27! And my hair and makeup lasted the distance despite the stifling heat of the late afternoon. You were correct to recommend them and they are both lovely people as well.
Hotel Villa Schuler were also fabulous. Mariangela and Andrea were super helpful in ensuring our day went smoothly. The hotel was also a great place to stay and nothing was too much trouble for us and the rest of our family during our stay. The small personal touches make such a difference.
Atlantis Bay was faultless. The food was some of the best I’ve ever eaten in Italy and the service was outstanding also. Salvatore, Cristina, Sara and the team deserve a special mention. We couldn’t have been happier! The cake was also spectacular and tasted so good too!
And lastly the biggest thanks goes to you Isabella.
We couldn’t have done this without your amazing commitment to helping us have the Best Day Ever and we are so grateful. Thankyou for always responding to a million emails and WhatsApp messages and for all your help on the day... it really went off without a hitch!
And thankyou for being our celebrant also... you were so professional and we are very grateful to have you officiate our special day.
I do hope that we can remain friends and catch up again next time we are in Taormina, and I’m sure there will be a next time as Taormina has our hearts...

"About 14 years ago, my lovely Leslie and I began down a path of dreams. We have experienced the beauty of the world; we have endured the loss of loved ones.
This was and is the purest love. It became unbreakable and inviolable.
Until Leslie, I had never thought that such a deep, bewilderingly beautiful, attachment to another person was possible.
Until Leslie, I thought marriage was an impossibility. But as the universe instructs us, that which seems impossible often becomes inevitable.
In July of two thousand and twenty-three, the inevitable brought me down to one knee.
Leslie and I are Canadians. We have travelled the globe, but only one place could match the indescribable thrill associated with our wedding in Taormina, Sicily.
We and 20 of our friends and family would celebrate the perfect wedding in the perfect place.
Unfortunately, we believed we could organize it ourselves.
Challenges and roadblocks arose daily. The unsnarling of Italian and Canadian legal requirements was a daunting task; it seemed impossible to find those who would conduct the ceremony; we could not find an interpreter; we seemed incapable of booking the venue (the Palazzo dei Duchi di Santo Stefano); we had difficulty organizing musicians, photographers, make-up artist; and arranging our wedding dinner for over 20 people at a distinguished restaurant was complicated.
Ignorance of the process, the language barrier, and the time difference resulted in frustration. We had a blind, focused belief that we would succeed, but at times it appeared we were unequal to the task.
I believe, however, that our absolute belief curiously found a way.
Out of the celestial ether came a name. We cannot remember how we found her, but from the moment Leslie communicated with her, all uncertainties and roadblocks were gone.
Her name is Isabella.
Because of Isabella, our wedding in Taormina this year was a perfect moment in time. It was bewilderingly beautiful. Our lives would be diminished without that memorable event. I can confidently say that if Isabella had not entered our lives when she did, our perfect day would have been imperfect.
Isabella kindly and seamlessly organized the myriad legal and logistical obligations mentioned above.
From the time we contacted her, all concerns with the who, when, where, and how were gone.
All wedding day activities (pre-ceremony, ceremony, the reception, the walk down the Corso Umberto, the dancing at the Piazza IX Aprile, and our wedding dinner) were organized flawlessly and impeccably.
On our wedding day, Leslie and I had one obligation: enjoy the dream. Our complete confidence in her competence was not misplaced.
But over and above her organizational skills, Isabella is an extraordinarily kind, thoughtful and generous person.
The numerous issues to be resolved prompted a multitude of emails, texts, and conversations between us (mostly Leslie) and Isabella.
With great kindness and generosity, Isabella always went far above what was expected to make our wedding day the perfect day; she cared. We responded, unreservedly, with gratitude.
We felt like we had a person in Italy who provided the consideration of a friend. Isabella always responded to questions quickly.
We were never in the dark about anything; we felt we were working collaboratively with someone who cared about us. That is an intangible that matters.
When Leslie and I arrived in Taormina, and when we left Taormina, we gave Isabella a big, warm Canadian hug.
I think she wanted to hug us too.
